CROQUET NEWS:  Tank is Work of Art

Bribie Island Croquet Club has undergone a transformation with an old water tank being artistically redesigned to reflect the community activities that surround it.

The water tank is situated alongside the club’s croquet lawns and is also in the vicinity of a dog walking park and the tennis club.

Publicity officer Barbara Bennet said the tank was unsightly and so a couple of club members decided to brighten it up.

President Ian McLaren got to work designing a mural that wraps around the tank and shows croquet, tennis and dogs with their owners.

Helene Collis then joined him on the project and assisted with the painting.

The croquet club has increased its membership over the last year and currently has more than 50 members.
